West Bengal Forest Service Examination and West Bengal Subordinate Forest Service Examination, 2010. Applications are invited from BE/ Btech eligible Engineers for appearing for the test.
Vacancies : The Vacancies will be announced later by the respective authorities. Some of the vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination may be reserved for S.C., S.T. and B.C. candidates of West Bengal as per Govt. Rules.

Qualification :
Candidate should be possessing a Degree in Engineering of any recognized University or Institute. Candidates from Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science are eligible.
Pay Scale : The Qualified Candidates for W.B.F.S will be given pay Rs.9000-40500 (PB-4) an the pay for W.B.S.F.S Qualified Candidates is Rs.7100-37600 (PB-3).
Physical Requirements :
The Height for male Candidates should be 163cm and for Female 150cm. The Chest Girth (Normal) is 84cm for male and for Female is 79cm. Girth Expansion is Male 05cm & Female 05cm.
Age Limit : The Age limit for applying students is 21- 32 yrs.
Application Fee :
All Interested and eligible candidates have to enclose with their applications a fee of Rs.210 (Rupees Two Hundred and Ten) only by Indian Postal Order, crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal or by a receipted challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal of the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees”.
The Postal Orders should be made payable at G.P.O., Kolkata. Money Order, Cheque, Bank Draft, Cash etc. will not be accepted. SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Physically Handicapped (40% and above) candidates are not required to pay any fee. No fee exemption is available to BC candidates.
Application Procedure :
Interested Candidates have to submit the Application in the given proforma personally in open condition at the enquiry counter of the Commission’s office at 161-A, S. P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 between 11-00 a.m. and 3-30 p.m. on all working days (Saturdays and Sundays are holidays) or sent by post (strictly by registered or speed post or U.C.P.) addressed to the Deputy Secretary (Examination), Public Service Commission, West Bengal, 161-A, S. P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 at the above address superscribing on the envelope the advertisement no. and name of the examination. The application form shall be filled in candidate’s own handwriting in blue/black ink and signed by him/her.
