BE/ BTECH eligible for the post of SSC Officers in The Indian Navy.

The Indian Navy invites applications for the unmarried men and women candidates for Short Service Commission (Observer Officer) in the Aviation Cadre of Executive branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing July 2011 at Indian Navy Academy, Ezimala, Kerala. Candidates to fulfill conditions of nationality as laid down by the Government of India.

Age Limit: 19 – 23 yrs, born between 02 July 1988 and 01 July, 1992, both dates included.

Eligibility: BE/ BTECH or Graduate in any discipline with

an aggregate of 65% marks. Candidates should have passed the 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Physical Fitness: Candidates will only be considered eligible if they possess a minimum height of 162.5 cms (for men) and 152 cms (for women). As far as eyesight is concerned, the candidates must have a minimum standard vision for distant vision 6/6, 6/9, correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be color/ night blind.

Mode of Selection: Candidates will be called up for the SSB interview on the basis of their educational qualification. Those having higher qualification with good  percentage of marks will be taken into consideration for cutoff. The Service Selection Board (SSB) which will be scheduled during Jan to Jun 2011 at Bangalore consists of two stages-

Stage –I includes Intelligence Test, Picture perception Test and Group Discussion which will take place on the day1

Stage –II includes Psychological Test, Group Test and Personal Interview will continue for the remaining four days; as the SSB session is conducted for five days.
