The SJVN Ltd (formerly Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited-SJVNL ) was incorporated on May 24, 1988 as a joint venture of the Government of India ( GOI ) and the Government of Himachal Pradesh (GOHP) to plan, investigate, organize, execute, operate and maintain Hydro-electric power projects. The present authorized share capital of SJVN is Rs 7000 crores.

Education: BE/ BTECH (Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical) from a recognized University.
Work Experience: 04 years of post qualification executive experience out of which at least 3 years in Thermal and currently working in the pay scale of 24,900-3%-50,500 (IDA). For personnel from private sector CTC should not be less than R 12.50 lacs p.a.
Age Limit: Max. 35 years
Pay Scale: R 29100-54500/-
Selection Criteria: Through Personal Interviews at Shimla
