Name of the Post: Scientist ‘B’ (Group – A Officer)

Nature of the Job: Government Job/ Public Sector/ PSU

Salary Scale:  Rs. PB-3 Rs. 15600 – 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5400 plus 15% special allowance

Educational Qualification: An Engineering Degree, BE/ Btech from a recognized Institution/ University in India (AICTE)

Branches which can Apply:

Electronics & Communication, Computer Science/ IT, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical

Percentage In BTECH/ BE: Minimum 60% or 6.75 (CGPA)

Age Limit: 30 years

Note: The total number of openings and subject wise vacancies are likely to change at the time of final selection. The candidates will have to appear for a written test for short listing and only short listed candidates will have called for interview Depending on the response, the department may short list the for the Written test also.

If class/ division is not awarded at BE/ B.Tech or equivalent degree, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or 6.75 CGPA shall be considered equivalent for grade point on a ten point scale.

Note: Candidates will be required to appear for a written test of 3 hour duration. The Written test will consist of 150 Questions (Objective Type) With Multiple Choice in 3 sections, i.e.

  • 50 Questions: Subject Knowledge (4 Marks each with 1 mark negative marking for wrong answer)
  • 50 Questions: Aptitude (4 Marks each)
  • 50 Questions: General Knowledge and Current Affairs (2 marks each with 1/2 marks negative marking for wrong answer)
