Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board (PWSSB) is a Punjab Govt. undertaking under Local Govt. Department with its Head Office at Chandigarh. This Board was set up under Punjab Govt. Act No.28 of 1976, for planning designing and execution of various Water Supply and Sewerage works of Urban Local Bodies PWSSB has completed 33 years of service to people on 1.1.2010. About 80% of diseases such as Cholera, Typhoid, Diarrhea, Jaundice etc. are caused by unsafe water. There is considerable leakage of water through unmetered connections, uncontrolled stand posts, leaking fittings and ferrules etc. In case, this is controlled, it would not only result in better efficiency of service being rendered but will also improve viability. Booster pumps installed directly on the Water Supply lines are the main cause of reduced water pressure and often cause contamination. Water is expensive to produce and to dispose off.

Scale of Pay: 15600-39100 + 5400 Grade Pay

Fees Details: Rs.1000/- (for Gen and dependents of Ex-Serviceman) and Rs. 250/- (for SC/ ST/ BC). Ex-Serviceman are exempted from paying the fees.
