Reserve Bank of India, after setting up of the Board for Payment and Settlement Systems in 2005, released a vision document incorporating a proposal to set up an umbrella institution for all the RETAIL PAYMENT SYSTEMS in the country. The core objective was to consolidate and integrate the multiple systems with varying service levels into nation-wide uniform and standard business process for all retail payment systems. The other objective was to facilitate an affordable payment mechanism to benefit the common man across the country and help financial inclusion.

Manager – Data Centre & System Maintenance

Education: BE/ BTECH (Computer Science)/ MCA from a recognized University.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Around 5+ years of experience, including last 3 years as team lead, leading technical & operational support team including system and network administrators and DBAs
  • Direct, Manage, Plan and Administer the DC operational activities on WINTEL & SOLARIS with some emphasis on databases inclusive of SAN, Backup & Replication solution
  • Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Capacity Management & Planning, Vendor Management, SLA tracking & adherence, Patch Management, Server Management, Database management, License Management, Security & Compliance adherence, DC support infrastructure planning
  • Develop, implement IT standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse system environments in line  with corporate standard and policies
  • DC Infrastructure security compliance as per NPCI standards inclusive of supporting internal & external audit
  • Assist for IT DR Planning, DR infrastructure implementation and support DR Drill
  • Managing and Leading team members, outsourced staff; ensuring resource allocation for daily DC operations and Infrastructure Projects
  • Technically sound on WINTEL, SOLARIS / LINUX, SAN (EMC, DELL, HP) with hands on experience of around 3 – 4 years
  • Good communication skills with emphasis on team building
  • Must be able to independently take charge and manage the data centre including any new projects that come up.
  • Provide formal training, feedback and guidance to frontline teams as required.
