National Crime Records Bureau. Located at New Delhi under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, NCRB is mandated to empower the Indian Police with Information Technology for modernization of Indian Police. NCRB has the proud distinction of installing 762 server – based computer systems at every District Crime Records Bureau (DCRB) and State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), across the country, Rajiv Mathur, (IPS) Director General, NCRB under a modernization project of MHA by the name "Crime Criminal Information system (CCIS)", with a view to maintain a National – level Database of Crimes, Criminals and Property connected / involved in crime. This software facilitates multi lingual support of Gujarati, Gurumukhi, Kannad, Tamil and Marathi besides Hindi and English to cater to the needs of these regions for capturing data and enable of web-enabled information retrieval in the form of enquires and reports through Internet to Police officers across the country. NCRB is implementing Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), which is a mission mode project under the National e-governance plan of Government of India.

Work Experience: 12 yrs in electronic data processing work out including 07 years experience should be in Design, Development or Organizing Computerized Information Storage and Retrieval System
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coordination of formulation , development and implementation of CCTNS
- Coordination with states on continuous basis in the systems study, interaction for design, development and implementation of CCTNS
- Design and guidance on preparation of specialized training modules for CCTNS
- Planning and policy for sharing information with outside agencies
- As Head of Group or Division exercise overall control on CCTNS
- Planning and implementation of mission mode responsibilities in a time bound manner
- Giving leadership and innovative thrust for all technical and field level activities within the charter of responsibilities given from time to time.
- Undertaking field visits for research and technical study and evaluation and attending State Committees’ meetings for successful implementation of CCTNS
- Any other technical/project management/administration duty related to CCTNS project assigned from time to time as per project requirements

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Senior level technical specialist in Network, Systems Analysis, Project
- Management and monitoring of CCTNS
- Data base management, Management Information Systems, System Software
- Design of CCTNS application software
- Administration of CCTNS Data centre & Network
- Overall control on technical activities of the group of division relating to Project Management and monitoring of CCTNS
- Responsible for formulation, planning, implementation, coordination and supervision of development activities and the service activities of the division under his responsibility
- In general, giving leadership and innovative thrust for all activities falling within the charter of responsibilities given from time to time.
- Undertaking field visits for research and technical study and evaluation and attending State Committees’ meetings for successful implementation of CCTNS
- Any other technical/project management/administration duty related to CCTNS project assigned from time to time as per project requirements

- Leadership position with independent responsibility for promotion, Planning, Design, Development and implementation Crime Criminal Application and other decision support systems.
- Designing training modules for various levels of officials/officers and conducting of Workshop on CCTNS of senior officers
- Providing assistance and support of State nodal officers in Implementation of Crime Criminal Application.
- Undertaking field visits for research and technical study and evaluation and attending State Committee’s meetings for successful implementation of Crime Criminal Application.
- Assistance in administration of Data Centre and Network-assistance.
- Association in ensuring standards for Software development.
- Leadership position in procurement of Hardware and Software and their up keep.

- Assisting in designing training modules for various levels of officials/officers.
- Association in Systems analysis and software development of CCTNS
- Optimization and modeling of CCTNS
- Managing Information systems
- Maintaining progress of application.
- Network maintenance
- Conducting Training of middle level officers in CCTNS.
- Providing assistance and support to State nodal officers in Implementation of CCTNS.

- Procurement, maintenance and upkeep of hardware & software including network maintenance
- Conducting Functional Requirements Study.
- Supervision and finalization of study material for various training modules.
- Supervision of development and maintenance of CCTNS application
- Supervision of Customization of CCTNS as per States’ requirements.
- Monitoring and supervision of Implementation of CCTNS.
- Preparation of various CCTNS related manuals.
- Conducting training in CCTNS..
- Assistance in administration of Data Centre and Network-assistance
