Border Security Force (BSF) is recruiting BE, Btech graduates for the post of Assistant Commandant (AC).

Educational Qualification Needed:

AGE LIMIT
a) 21 to 26 years as on closing date on receipt of application which will be 30 days from date of publication of Advertisement. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, Govt. Servants and 03 years for OBC category candidates.
b) The relaxation in upper age limit of 05 years shall also be admissible to all candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 01 Jan 1980 to 31 Dec 1989. Candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir claiming age relaxation should produce a certificate obtained from the District Magistrate within shoes jurisdiction they had ordinarily resided or from authority designated in the behalf by the Govt, of J & K.
c) Five years of age relaxation in upper age limit shall also be granted to the children and dependent family members of those who were killed in the communal riots of the year 1984 and Gujarat riots of the year 2002. For getting this benefit, the children and dependent family member of those killed in the riots should produce a certificate to the effect from the concerned District Collectors, SC/ST/OBC relaxation as per Govt. instruction will be in addition.

(ii) Total amount of Myopia ( including the cylinder) shall not exceed minus 4.00D.
Total amount of hypermetropia ( including the cylinder ) shall not exceed plus 4.00D.
(iii) Candidate must not have knock knees, Flat Foot, Varicose Veins or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.
Candidates will be tested for colour vision by Ishahara’s test as well as Edrich- Green Lantern Test.
They must be a good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

8. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
(a) The candidates may utilize the application format given with this advertisement and send the application so as to reach

(b) The last date for receipt of application in respect of candidates belonging to areas of North Eastern State, Ladakh division of J & K , Sikkim, Pangi Sub division of Chamba, Lahul and Spiti Dist of Himachal Pradesh. Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshdweep Islands is within 45 days after date of publication of Advertisement.
(c) The application should be accompanied with attested copies of certificates in proof of age, education qualification, SC/ST/OBC and other tribe/hill areas (domicile), wherever applicable, as well as a bank draft/ postal order for Rs.100/- as examination fee to be drawn in favour of

SC/ST and departmental candidates are not required to remit examination fee.
Three recent passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazette officer should be attached to the application. One each photograph to be affixed on the application form and admit card and third one to be kept in record .
Two self addressed envelopes of size of 25 x 12 cms stamped worth Rs. 27/- each should also be attached with the application form. The envelop containing application must be super scribed in bold letters as

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
(i) These posts are combatised . Selected candidates will be liable to serve any where in Union of India or abroad.
(ii) Candidate will be governed by BSF Act 1968 and rules 1969 and as amended time to time.
(iii) The NEW RESTRUCTURED DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PENSION SYSTEM applicable for the new entrants to the Central Govt, service w.e.f. Jan
2004 will also be applicable to you.
(iv) Selected candidates will have to undergo basic training and such other courses as prescribed in the force from time to time.
(iv) The posts are combatised and selected candidate will be governed under provision of BSF Act and Rule.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
(i) Applications, which are not on prescribed format or not accompanied by the required enclosures or incomplete or defective shall be summarily rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under any circumstances.
(ii) Applications received after closing date and any enquiry in this regard will not be entertained by the Selection Board.
(iii) Candidates already serving in Govt./ Semi Govt. Departments should apply through proper channel and NOC obtained from the employer should also be enclosed.
(iv) Candidates are not required to submit any original certificates in support to their claims. They should ensure they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the tests and interview. If on verification at a later stage it is found that they do not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature will be cancelled by the selection board.
(v) Candidates are informed that written examination is only a preliminary test for screening and short listing. No result of any of the tests will be supplied to the candidates and no correspondence will be entertained by the Board in this regard.

(vii) The application form (Annexure-A) must be filled by the candidate correctly and correction, if any should be legible and attested by the candidate.
(viii) The venue, date and time of written examination , physical efficiency tests, interview and medical examination will be intimated to the candidate.
(ix) The recruitment board shall not be liable for any claim arising out of any injury etc. suffered during the tests. The decision of the recruitment board shall be final in all matters connected with this recruitment.
(x) An employee serving in the same rank and pay grade will not be entitled to apply for said post.
