BE/ BTECH (Agriculture) invited for the Walk-in Directorate of Oil Palm Research (DOPR), AP.

To meet the increasing demands of edible oil in India, Oil Palm which produces 6 to 8  tonnes of edible oil per hectare per year, will help more than any other oilseed crop which have productivity levels below 1 ton/ha. It can easily bridge the gap between demand and supply.  Directorate of Oil Palm Research has been contributing by understanding the constraints affecting the production of oil palm in India  and finding out solutions through intrinsic research  initiatives.  With time and concentrated efforts, the institute has emerged as the nerve center of oil palm research.

Desired Work Experience: 

  • (1) Experience in working in agro/ food processing units.
  • (2) Experience in research related works.

Job description:

  • Managing the mini palm oil mill operations and facilitating the processing, data recording during the time of processing, proper upkeep of the machineries in the mill and getting
    the repairs/services done from time to time, keeping stock of the items.
  • Assisting the scientists in research works, field visits, observing and recording data and data analysis, design of new machineries, making necessary drawings and assisting in experiments in post harvest technology laboratory and maintaining engineering workshop.
