Name of the post: Assistant Programmers

Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800+ Rs. 4200 (Grade Pay) (T.E.: 16420)

Age: 30 years as on 29-10-2009 (The age is relaxable for SC/ST candidates upto 5 years and upto 3 years for OBC candidates)

Educational Qualification: Btech/ Mtech/ MCA

Job Profile:  The Assistant programmers, Central Bureau of Investigation will be responsible for :- 

  1. Development and implementation of systems.
  2. Day-to-day operation of the computer set up at the Branches/Units.
  3. Refreshing/Replication of data from Branch to Regional Office Server.
  4. Database backup and restoration of CBI Projects. 
  5. Local Area Network Management. 
  6. Maintenance of Oracle Database Server.
  7. Liaison or coordination between Regional and Head Office Server. 
  8. Security Administration of Systems and Network. 
  9. Any other duty assigned by Regional DIG or any other Senior Officers.
  10. HQ : Liable to serve in any of the CBI Branches in India.

Number Of Posts: 18 (SC-2, ST-1, OBC-4, PH-2)

(Out of the two posts reserved for Physically Handicapped persons, one post is reserved for  persons with disability of Partially Hearing impairment and one post is reserved for Orthopaedically Handicapped  persons with disability in lower limb).

Branches which can Apply: Computer Science,Electronics and Communications, MCA

Experience Required: 

2yr ( electronic data processing work including experience of actual programming )

OR

C-i)

‘A’ Level Diploma under Department of Electronic Accredited Computer Courses Programme or Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Application offered under University Programme and

ii) Three years’ experience of electronic data processing work including experience of actual programming.

Desirable : 

Knowledge of programming in C, C++,

OR

Visual C++ and in Oracle, Relational Data Base Management System to experience on RISC based Computer Systems under UNIX or UNIX-like Operating Systems/WINDOWS Networking or WINDOWS environment.
