National Informatics Centre (Ministry of Information Technology) is a premier Organisation in the field of Information Technology. It provides State of the art solutions for information management and decision support requirements of the state government, Government of India and the Corporate sector. NIC has set up a satellite based nation wide Computer Communication Network, called NICNET, with over 800 nodes connecting the national capital, the state capitals and district headquarters. The IT services provided by NIC ranges from conducting feasibility studies for computerization, designing ,developing and implementing computer based Information Systems, undertaking large turnkey projects including setting up of Networks and imparting training. NIC has developed extensive expertise in integrating IT based systems.
The NIC, A & N UT Centre is located at Secretariat Complex, Port Blair. NATIONAL INFORMATICS CENTRE, Andaman & Nicobar UT Centre, is established in 1988 with an objective of providing IT based services. This unit caters to the requirements of two districts namely Andaman and Nicobar.

Educational Background: BE/ BTECH (Civil) from a recognized University plus
functional Computer Literacy/1 year computer course.
Work Experience: At least 5 years experience in civil/construction work.
Age Limit: 30 -65 years
Salary: Rs. 19,000/- p.m.
Selection Mode: On the basis of interview.

Educational Background: BE/ BTECH (Computer Science/ IT)/ BCA from a recognized University.
Desired: Sound knowledge and proficiency of reading & writing in Hindi and English.
Age Limit: 22- 40 years
Salary: Rs. 16,000/- p.m.
Selection Mode: On the basis of trade test and interview.
