The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram (IIITD&M) was established in 2007 by the Government of India as a Centre of Excellence in the emerging areas of Design and Manufacturing. The IIITD&M is presently functioning in the IIT Madras Campus, Chennai and will move to its permanent campus at Kelambakkam-Vandalur Road, Chennai. The permanent academic, research cum residential campus is about 30 km from Chennai’s International Airport.
