The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram (IIITD&M) was established in 2007 by the Government of India as a Centre of Excellence in the emerging areas of Design and Manufacturing. The IIITD&M is presently functioning in the IIT Madras Campus, Chennai and will move to its permanent campus at Kelambakkam-Vandalur Road, Chennai. The permanent academic, research cum residential campus is about 30 km from Chennai’s International Airport.

Note: BE/ BTECH are also eligible provided they have a good academic record throughout satisfying the following conditions-
- A B.Tech degree holder from IIT with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale and with a valid GATE score.
- A Bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering/Technology from any other University should be among the top 10 rank holders in the University and having a valid GATE score
- A Bachelor’s degree holder in Engineering/Technology from a reputed R & D organization with excellent research record
Mode of Selection: On the basis of interview and academic record of the candidates.
