ORISSA POWER TRANSMISSION CORPORATION LIMITED (OPTCL), one of the largest Transmission Utility in the country was incorporated in March 2004 under the Companies Act, 1956 as a company wholly owned by the Government of Orissa to undertake the business of transmission and wheeling of electricity in the State. The registered office of the Company is situated at Bhubaneswar, the capital of the State of Orissa. Its projects and field units are spread all over the State.

Educational Qualification: 1st Class BE/ BTECH (Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronic Engineering) with 60% marks from a recognized University.
Stipend: Rs.12,000/- per month during the training period of 1 year
Scale of Pay (after completion of Training):
Rs 9300-34800 plus Grade Pay Rs. 4600/- plus other allowances.
Selection Mode: Based on written test and Interview.
Application Fees: DD of Rs. 200/- in favor of drawn on a scheduled Bank in favor of DDO, Hqrs office, OPTCL, payable at Bhubaneswar. SC/ STs are exempted from paying the fees.
