Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) is basically a mountain trained Force and most of the officers & men are professionally trained Mountaineers and Skiers. Being the first responder for natural Disaster in the Himalayas, ITBP has been carrying out numerous rescue and relief operations

Educational Qualification: BE/ BTECH (Civil) from a  Central/State Govt. recognized institution.

Physical  Standard:

    • Height:  165 Cms
    • Chest: 81 Cms Unexpanded and 86 Cms.Expanded
    • Weight: Proportionate to height  and age, Possessing good mental and sound health free from any physical defect.
    • Eye Sight: Distant Vision ,Better Eye 6/6, 6/9 Worse 6/12, 6/9 Near Vision  Better Eye Correct Vision:J.I ,Worse Eye J.II

    Age Limit: 30 years as on 27 April, 2011

    Scale of Pay: Rs 15600 – 39100

    Fee Details: DD of Rs. 50/-payable to the accounts officer Directorate General ,ITBP,New Delhi .  SC/ ST candidates are exempted from paying the application Fees.
