Education: BE/ BTECH (with 65%) followed by MTECH (Geology/Geophysics) with 65% marks from a recognized University.
Desirable:
Knowledge in computer analysis, image processing and GIS.
Work Domain: Shortlisted candidates will be required to work in one of the following fields: Analysis/modeling related to Himalayan glaciers using remote sensing OR Analysis of satellite data to understand morphology, mineralogy, volcanism and related processes of Moon and Planets OR Calibration and validation activities of satellite sensor data.
Salary: Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay 5400/- per month.
Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad is one of the lead Centres of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space (DOS). SAC focuses on design of space borne instruments for terrestrial and planetary missions of ISRO and development and operationalisation of space technology for national development. The applications cover communication, broadcasting, navigation, disaster monitoring, meteorology, oceanography, environment monitoring and natural resources survey. SAC designs and develops all the transponders for the INSAT and GSAT series of communication satellites and the optical and microwave sensors for IRS series of earth observation satellites.
