Heavy Water Board (HWB), a constituent unit under Department of Atomic Energy, is primarily responsible for production of Heavy Water (D2O) which is used as a ‘moderator’ and ‘Coolant’ in the nuclear power as well as research reactors. HWB is successfully operating six Heavy Water Plants in the country. India is perhaps the largest manufacturer of heavy water in the world as of today and perhaps the only country which has mastered both these state-of-the-art processes to meet the heavy water requirements of the Indian nuclear power reactors.

REQUIREMENTS

FOR THE POST: TECHNICAL OFFICER/C (SAFETY)

Vacancies:   02 (UR-1 , SC-1) for Heavy Water Plant (Manuguru),Andhra Pradesh

Educational Background: B.E. / M.E. degree in Safety Engineering with 60% marks OR B.E. in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering with 60%  marks AND Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by Central/ State Governments.

Desired: Factory experience in Industrial Safety

Age Limit: 18-25 yrs

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 (PB-3).

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST: TECHNICAL OFFICER/C (CHEMICAL)

Vacancies:  06 (OBC-3, SC-1 , ST-2) [ One post for Heavy Water Plant (Manuguru), Andhra Pradesh Five posts for Heavy Water Plant (Baroda), Gujarat ]
Educational Background:  B.E./B.TECH (Chemical) with 60% marks from any recognized university

Age Limit: 18-25 yrs
